Advertisements by ODA Members

Online advertisements are created by and managed by individual members; so the ODA does NOT endorse any of these member-placed advertisements.

The ODA reserves the right to modify or delete an advertisement that is deemed inappropriate or too commercially biased.  If you see something that is inappropriate, please contact us immediately.

Members wishing to post on this site should be advised of the current advertising policy of the ODA.  It is as follows (Modified October 31, 2012):

Policy of Advertising in Newsletter/Website

The ODA is willing to provide to its members in good standing the benefit of limited advertisement in its newsletter and/or website to be distributed to its members and visitors to the website.  Acceptable types of advertisement which may be placed at no charge to members include but are not limited to:

  • Job openings or positions offered for professional healthcare providers such as physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners
  • Practices for sale
  • Studies requesting enrollment of patients (must have appropriate IRB approval  or waiver)
  • Educational events offering accredited CME or meetings without pharmaceutical bias
  • Charitable events benefitting the medical community
  • Job openings for nurses or administrative staff (online only, posted and managed by individual member)
  • Equipment or instruments for sale (online only, posted and managed by individual member)

Examples of postings which will not be allowed include but are not limited to:
  • Any item or event of a personal, non-professional nature
  • Pharmaceutically biased programs
  • Professional advertisements for a practice
  • Political events

How to Post Online:

1)     Items for Calendar of Events relating to derm support group or fundraiser for derm-related purpose proposed by a member – Member should e-mail the executive director (Cynthia Bartunek, odaexec@gmail.com) to post.

2)     Items for Calendar of Events relating to dermatology meetings (e.g. Grand Rounds, Regional Meetings, etc) proposed by a member – Member should e-mail the executive director (Cynthia Bartunek, odaexec@gmail.com) to post. 

3)     A member seeking a new associate, PA or NP,  nurse or MA, administrative staff member; or a member closing a practice and/or selling equipment can post the ad on the website with their individual account; however, the Media Relations Committee will reserve the right to remove the item if deemed inappropriate.  

4)     A member may post clinical trials on the website with their individual account; however, the Media Relations Committee will reserve the right to remove the item if deemed inappropriate, e.g. advertising, lack of IRB approval, etc.

How to Post In Newsletter:

Advertisements for professional staff jobs (physician, NP, PA), studies,  educational events, and charitable events must be submitted as word document to our Executive Director, Cynthia Bartunek, at ODAExec@gmail.com and may be truncated (with approval) due to space limitations.  Generally, submissions should be 150 words or less.  Of note, advertising for nurses/MAs/administrative staff and for equipment for sale is NOT allowed in the newsletter (these are online only).  
Final discretion of inclusion will be made by the Media Relations Committee, subject to review by the Board of Trustees.
