The ODA has had an “A-Mazing” year navigating the challenges in dermatology in 2018:
In advocacy, the STEP Therapy Bill passed the house and senate. It will be signed into law by the governor.
The compounding rules have been challenged and are being revised.
In education, we had a stellar annual meeting thanks to the speakers, the organizing committee, our executive director, and all our members who were in attendance. Our gala provided a superb opportunity to network and socialize.
Our ODA website and logo have been updated thanks to our two past presidents, Drs. Trotter and Ridge.
We are encouraging our young colleagues to become members by extending complimentary membership for their first year after completing residency.
We look forward to continuing our mission as a proactive group that advocates for science and the practice of dermatology to best serve our patients.
There are many opportunities to unite our voices and collective skills to effectively address issues that impact us and our patients in Ohio. If you are considering becoming a member, this is a great time to explore our website and sign up. Drop us an e-mail to let us know you would like to participate as a board member, trustee, or committee member.
Together, let’s continue to navigate the challenges ahead for an “A-Mazing” 2019!
