Share your voice with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding how drug shortages are affecting access and care.
Please fill out this survey on how drug shortages are affecting you. It is important that you respond to this survey no later than December 21 so that the AADA can share the results with the FDA, showing them the importance of drugs which are susceptible to shortages and the need for solutions so that patient access does not continue to be impeded.
Background: The FDA has increased its focus on how drug shortages are affecting patient care and is working to come up with solutions to address and prevent shortages. In July, FDA created a new Drug Shortages Task Force. At an FDA listening session on drug shortages hosted by this task force for clinicians, Bruce Brod, MD, deputy chair of the Council on Government Affairs and Health Policy shared with the task force the difficulties faced by dermatologists because of ongoing shortages and the FDA has requested supporting data.
