Ohio Dermatological Association – Advocacy Day

Wednesday, May 13, 2020 @ Ohio Statehouse in Columbus

The ODA is hosting its annual Advocacy Day on May 13th from 9am – 6pm. We will be visiting with legislators during the day and ending the day with a legislative reception from 4pm – 6pm at the Statehouse.

We encourage you to join all or part of the day with the morning session planned from 9am – 1:30pm, lunch included or the afternoon session from 1:30pm – 6pm, which includes attendance to the legislative reception. Please RSVP to Jill Hostetler, ODA Executive Director, at odaexec@ohderm.org if you or your staff are able to participate on Wednesday, May 13th. Please indicate if you plan to attend all day or plan to only attend the morning or afternoon session.

During the day, you and your assigned group will meet with various legislators to discuss issues such as the Ban on Tanning Beds for minors and Scope of Practice. You will be briefed in the morning to learn about the issues as well as gain knowledge on how to speak with your legislators about the topics. The afternoon reception will include hors d’oeuvres and an additional casual opportunity to meet with legislators about our issues.

The Ohio Dermatological Association Advocacy Day is designed to connect our members with their legislators, so they can discuss things such as Tanning Bed Legislation for Minors and Scope of Practice issues that matter to the Dermatology profession and our patients.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Jill
